BASIC TRAINING COURSE
Our "Basic Training" course is our introduction into CrossFit. It's designed to teach you how to perform the fundamental CrossFit Movements safely and effectively, ensuring a seamless transition into the regular Crossfit classes. This is a one-time required course comprised of a total of 9 classes occurring every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3 weeks. They are purposely programmed in a specific order, each class building on the previous. There are both physical performance elements and nutrition information along the way. Whatever "success" means to you, we want to help you achieve it. So, while we understand "life happens" we ask that everyone do their best to make it to every class. Should you have to miss a class, please let us know so that we can get you the information you'll be missing.
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
This is a character-driven, level-based youth fitness program. We believe in building better people while also getting them fit!
Nuketown Kids will learn basic fitness movements in the beginning which build the skills necessary to perform more complex movements in the future. They will constantly stay driven by the next goal and be encouraged by their peers to persevere through challenges.
Healthy living requires pushing, pulling, running, throwing, climbing, lifting, and jumping - all of which they will learn how to do safely and in a safe environment.
